  • The Foundation for Academic and Vocational Education (FAVE) has the following teaching/staff vacancies for the academic school year 2024 - 2025: FAVE School Bio. St. Maarten Academy has been in existence since 1974. It was then the first secondary school with English as the language of instruction. The group of schools, better known as and referred to as “St. Maarten Academy” operates under the Foundation for Academic and Vocational Education (FAVE). The Board, Foundation for Academic and Vocational Education (FAVE) is responsible for all policies governing the school. The principle aim of FAVE is to set policies and to ensure that the school has the needed human resources such as administration, faculty, and support staff. Part of their principle aim is also to ensure financial management so that the school’s facilities are up to par; and that the needed materials and equipment are provided for the management and smooth operation of the school.




    Job Description

    Job scope:
    Planning, developing policies, coordinating the daily operations, provides leadership to staff, executing, analyzing, evaluating, representing and leading.

    Salary range for Principal is Naf. 7,227. 00 to Naf. 8, 662.00 based on qualifications and years of experience.

    Skills Required

    - Master of Education from a recognized and accredited University
    - Teaching Diploma
    - Must have at least 3 - 5 years experience
    - Must be responsible
    - Highly professional and confidential attitude
    Flexible
    - Have a broad theoretical and practical knowledge in the education field
    - Knowledge and insights in CSEC/CXC/CCSLC/CAPE curriculum
    - Proficiency in Microsoft Office - specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
    - Must have excellent written communication and interpersonal skills
    - The ability to work well in a team environment as well as lead the team
