Sonesta Resorts St. Maarten is in search of an experienced Marketing Coordinator to join our team on the enchanting Caribbean Island of St. Maarten.
POSITION SUMMARY:
As a Marketing Coordinator, you will be responsible for the workflow of marketing efforts under the direction of the Director of Sales and Marketing.
The Marketing Coordinator plays a pivotal role in supporting the development and execution of marketing initiatives. Responsible for coordinating various projects and campaigns across multiple channels, including digital, social media, and traditional marketing, the Marketing Coordinator works closely with internal and external teams to ensure alignment with company objectives. Additionally, the Marketing Coordinator assists in event planning, manages marketing materials, and provides administrative support to the DOSM. This role requires a blend of creativity, strategic thinking, and analytical skills and demands a proactive and organized individual with a passion for marketing and a commitment to driving results.
REPORTING LINE:
Position reports to Director of Sales and Marketing, Reporting line may change at company's discretion in case of department organization restructuring or temporarily absence of the DOSM.
FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Always acts in the company’s best interest with regards to minimizing costs by constantly monitoring usage and allocation of items.
2. Hold confidential information in strict confidence.

• bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business administration, or a related field.
• Proven experience in marketing coordination or a similar role.
• Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in marketing tools and software, such as CRM systems, email marketing platforms, and social media management tools.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
• Creative thinker with a passion for marketing and staying up-to-date with industry trends.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• Flexibility and adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Must have high level of proficiency in English-writing and speaking, other language knowledge welcome
• ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Work closely with marketing team to ensure tasks are completed and the work flows from marketing to vendors
• Managing the media plans, trade show calendars and other critical documents within the department
• Gathering information required for the Sales and Marketing plans
• Taking photos and videos for social channel postings, some session require evening work
• Support the PR agency with social media posts and required information for releases and stories
• Managing projects lists
• Process media inquiries
• Managing statistics of Caribbean and Island visitors
• Managing databases including making new additions, segmenting guest types and keeping records up to date
• Monitor and report pay-per-click and other marketing campaign result
• Implement promotional campaigns through the established process
