Job Description
• Inspect construction sites regularly to identify and eliminate potential safety hazards.
• Supervise and instruct the civil works construction team as well as subcontractors.
• Understand all facets of underground utilities, operations, and equipment. Run the works effectively in the day-to-day operations and respond appropriately in emergency situations.
• Provide weekly and monthly reports/progress of the works supervised
• Perform inspections on the executed works
• Educate site workers on construction safety regulations and accident protocol.
• Enforce site safety rules to minimize work-related accidents and injuries.
• Handle site accidents in accordance with established accident protocol.
• Maintain an accurate record of construction employee attendance.
• Evaluate performance of construction workers and institute disciplinary measures as needed.
• Analyze blueprints to ensure that construction projects meet design, safety, and budget specifications.
• Recommend changes to construction operations or procedures to increase efficiency.
Salary: 3.300 $ net (depending on skills, experience, and location)
Skills Required
• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the construction field (MEP works). Supervisory experience is an asset.
• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to think critically.
• In depth knowledge of similar construction projects and quality procedures.
• Proficient in all Microsoft Office Suite applications.
• Familiarity with construction drawings and specifications.
