    Job Description

    POSITION SUMMARY:
    The Accounts Clerk while having specific accounting functions such as warranty reconciliations, also acts as a backup to the cashiers during high volume periods.
    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
    1. Main Duties (as backup Cashier): -
    - Timely closure of parts invoices and repair orders including sign off Operational management of the cashiers
    Accurate and timely posting of receipts/payments to different companies and systems, including M21 & CDK. These include payment through cash, cheques and cards.
    Petty cash handling
    Daily cash balances preparation
    Escalation of cash compliance issues to the CFO/Assistant Accountant/Head Cashier. Booking of receivables such as staff and insurances.
    Master Data maintenance such as creation of accounts, and preparation of credit applications.
    2. Main Duties (as Accounts Clerk): -
    Produce timely and accurate warranty reconciliations, and highlighting to the Accountant/Assistant Accountant any issues encountered. Handling of the Purchase Order process.

    Cashier Knowledge:
    The employee must have or seek to have proficient knowledge in the following areas:
    - All Operating Systems used by the Company (now and in future) included but not limited to CDK & M21.
    - Microsoft Office with expertise in Excel in particular.
